Current and Planned Programs
Community Education Initiative
Educational programming designed to help families understand, value, and strengthen their multigenerational networks. Programming is delivered through:
- Public workshops at community centers and libraries
- Educational materials available in print and digital formats
- Presentations for community organizations, faith communities, and family service agencies
Family Resource Directory
A publicly accessible directory of family services, kinship care resources, and community support organizations. The directory is organized by geography and service type to help families quickly find the specific help they need. Data is curated from federal, state, and local sources and maintained for accuracy.
Library Partnership Program
Partnerships with public libraries to deliver multigenerational family programming in trusted, accessible community spaces. Libraries serve as natural gathering points for families across economic and cultural backgrounds, making them ideal partners for community education.
Kinship Caregiver Support
Direct informational and referral support for grandparents and other relatives raising children. This includes:
- Connection to legal, financial, and social service resources
- Information about kinship navigator programs and other state-specific support
- Educational materials designed specifically for kinship caregiving situations
Village-Building Workshops
Structured workshops that help individuals and families assess and strengthen their personal support networks. Participants learn practical tools for building and maintaining the multigenerational connections that support family stability.
